On 7/12/2024 Shelby Township sent out a notice that residents with automatic sprinklers have a water backflow test performed by 9/6/2024. This is new but supposedly state mandated. They also provided a list of plumbers that are licensed and can perform the test. Most plumbers are charging between $100 and $125, one of the listed plumbers is performing the test for $80, Water Works Plumbing and Backflow LLC - 586-775-0100 (or wwplumbing2012@gmail.com). We have spoken to him and recommend you contact them soon to get on his schedule.
Shelby Township and RFHS deed restrictions prohibit the removal of trees in the median (area between the sidewalk and street) in front of your house. If you must remove the tree must be replaced by another with a trunk diameter of at lease 3 inches. If you currently have more than one tree in front of your house you must keep the same number of trees. Violation of this will result in liens and legal action. If there are questions please contact the board. Thank you
Golf carts in our community are a big problem that we get many complaints about. Reckless driving, etc. Remember, per the State of Michigan they are illegal on our roads!

It’s warming up which means golf cart season is upon us. We just
want to remind everyone where golf carts are allowed and
prohibited along with the rules and responsibility. Golf carts are to
be driven on private property only. The operation of golf carts on
public streets and sidewalks causes a significant concern for public
safety. If you are driving a golf cart on a roadway or sidewalk, we
will impound it. For more information about golf cart rules and
regulations check out the link below:
